Default GUI: Moving skill points to skills window

Just an idea, with the new Skills and Attribute window, it seems obvious to me that the number of unused skill points you have should be located in this window rather than in the Hero window.

I tend to find that I have to flick between windows when going to buy skills for character as I have no idea how many skills I can buy. Having the unspent skill points actually in the Skills window seems logical to me.

You'll get to the point where you'll have a bahmillion skill points and no gold to spend it all (especially the case for a character in cantha). If anything, the whole idea of skill points should be trashed since we pretty much have to buy all our skills now.

When trying to buy skills from a skill trainer, does it not say "You have xx skill points" somewhere? (Like "You have xx funds remaining" when trying to buy something from merchant)

I think it's a non-issue here. Mainly because of what was mentioned:

If anything, there should be an addition to the skills trainer window that tells you how many skills you have left to spend. At the moment, the availability of skills will turn red if you run out of skill points.

Surely people buy in bulk? I guess we should all buy in priority order then. Surely something needs to be done with it. Interesting ideas none the less.

So in other words, its not a non-issue. It's just slightly different :P

They ought to add it to the exp bar instead... who cares if you're level 20...so is everyone else.

After hitting Level 20: replacing text with ___ Skill Pts. would be a bit nicer...

I've run out of skill points on two of my level 20 chars and now I'm down to waiting till I "level" to get another skill (I blame NF and all the new skills ). I hardly farm at all (only occasional hydra farming on my ele), 1 plat isn't really that bad at all once you get going. (Not that I'm loaded, I only have a few plat to my name. Granted, it's because I spend instead of save, but that's my problem, not Anet's.)

Unsure how I feel on this suggestion, I wouldn't mind if they moved it to somewhere else, maybe they could put other info on the Hero window (kill/death/hours statistics? I know, there's chatline commands for those, but still.)

My further thought would be to move the armour screen, the default inventory (i) onto a hero tab in the hero window and the inventory to open as it does when pressing F9.

This way you would have cause to open the hero window far more, and wouldnt have the fiddly confusion of having to open specific bags to get to your inventory.

This is probably quite personal as im sure not everyone uses the F9 inventory shortcut.
